Brush your entire body, start at your feet and work your way up your legs, stomach, chest, back and arms including the soles of your feet, palm of your hands and under your arms to get your lymph nodes. Avoid your genitals and any areas with irritations, abrasions, including varicose veins. Don’t brush too hard! The pressure you apply while brushing your skin should be firm but not painful. A soft and smooth stroke often works best. Your skin should be slightly pink after brushing but it should never be red or sting. How to Face Dry Brush Dry brushing your face can help rejuvenate tired and dull skin by increasing circulation, draining away lymph congestion around the nose and eyes and relieving stress around your temples. Exfoliation is one of the most important parts of a beauty regimen. Wash your face, and dry with a towel. When dry face brushing, brush in gentle smooth upward strokes that lift the muscles of the face. Your facial brushing strokes should move up the neck and along the contour of the face. Make several gentle circling movements counter-clockwise on the right cheek and clockwise on the left always moving along the cheek muscles. Be careful never to stretch the skin. Sweep the forehead gently from the center to each temple. **These instructions are for the Dry Brushing technique but the brush can be used wet in the shower for exfoliation.
